Many STEMtastic readers have been asking about website development lately, and as luck would have it, the man responsible for this site reached out to me! I think his website would be helpful to anyone looking to become a web developer! Check it out and let him know what you think!
It's that time of the year when we are finishing up curriculum and the end is near, but we need the most engaging, amazing activities to keep students on-task and focused. Two of those activities are Environment Green Screen Presentations and Polygon Drone Mazes.
Environment Green Screen Presentations
After studying Ancient Civilizations, students noticed that each society changed their environment to get food, water, shelter, and/or protection. For the Environment Green Screen Presentations, students were challenged with a new environment that they had to change in order to make it livable and sustainable. Some environments included the Sahara Desert, the Australian Outback, Atlantis, and a Glacier. The group here had to create a sustainable society in Chernobyl. They have some pretty creative ideas!
Students were challenged to create Polygon Mazes around the school! They were given a map of the building and instead of saying "turn left" or "turn right" they had to create two polygons at each intersection and create a clue that the map reader could solve to find the correct way. They were so fun to create! Many students said this was their favorite project of the year!
Annnndddd why just walk a maze when you can drive a drone through it!? Students tested each other's mazes while flying a drone through the maze. How fun!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
