I wanted to finish polygons before we went on Spring Break. I knew this was going to be tough, but my kids were up for the challenge!
We started off by classifying triangles. Students rotated around the room measuring sides and angles of triangles and naming them two ways. I adjusted a lesson I found here.
I read the book, The Greedy Triangle, and students used yarn to create the polygons named in the book.
We then finished the week with our Anchor Assignment, Hierarchy Mobiles. Here is the directions and checklist students had to follow:
